Diane von Furstenberg Looks to the Metaverse

Diane von Furstenberg
is dealing with a rehash of her organization. “This is my third-generation rebirth,” says Ms. von Furstenberg, who throughout recent years got 33-year-old Gabby Hirata as president and CEO of her organization and employed granddaughter Talita von Furstenberg as co-chairwoman.
The Belgian-conceived, New York-based fashioner and business visionary sent off her business in the mid 1970s with the celebrated wrap dress — a pullover style she made while pregnant that joined solace, work-proper clean and Studio 54-commendable sex bid. The adaptable dress was such a vibe that Ms. von Furstenberg arrived on the front of Newsweek in 1976.
But the furor in the end blurred and Ms. von Furstenberg, confronting liquidation, auctions off her licenses. She relaunched the brand in 1997, again turning into a worldwide achievement. Lately, its importance disappeared. According to the pandemic, she, managed the cost of her chance to venture back and reconsider her namesake mark — and compose a book, “Own It: The Secret of Life,” distributed by Phaidon in March 2021.
The creator consulted with The Wall Street Journal about the post-lockdown work closet, style in the metaverse and bringing her organization into the future.
