GameSquare’s new unit is bringing custom experiences to “metaverse-style games”

GameSquare is entering the metaverse with the announcement of Moonlight Studios, a division dedicated to creating custom experiences in popular game worlds such as Roblox, Fortnite, and Grand Theft Auto. The gaming firm, backed by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, has been operating Moonlight in secret for the past six months. The new unit is led by Kyle Rapozo, also known as Kaz on his social channels, who was a former Fortnite pro and played for FaZe Clan. GameSquare acquired FaZe Clan in October 2023, bringing together two major players in the esports industry. Rapozo’s team of developers is collaborating with Zoned, a creative agency owned by GameSquare that has previously worked with brands such as Cash App, Amazon, and Epic.
