Revolut Introduces ‘Revolut X’: The Latest Cryptocurrency Exchange Service
The fintech enterprise based in London, Revolut, has recently unveiled ‘Revolut X,’ its cutting-edge crypto-trading platform tailored for the retail market in the UK. This initiative comes on the heels of their recent launch in March, where they presented the Revolut Ramp solution, developed in collaboration with Consensys. Revolut Ramp is designed to facilitate seamless cryptocurrency purchases right from Web3 wallets.
Originally starting as a money transfer service in 2015, Revolut ventured into the realm of cryptocurrency trading in 2017. Their rapid progress has seen their offerings extend to a user base of more than 40 million customers worldwide. With Revolut X, the company continues to evolve, with aspirations to compete with leading crypto exchanges through its ease of use and attractive pricing structure.
Revolut X is made available to all UK based customers with a Revolut retail account and can be accessed via desktop. It supports trading for an array of over 100 different cryptocurrencies. The platform introduces a fee strategy that waives costs for makers and imposes a mere 0.09% fee on takers, without considering the trading volume. Initially, the cryptocurrencies available for trade on Revolut X will mirror those offered on the Revolut retail application, including major names like Bitcoin, Ether, and XRP.
By launching its dedicated crypto exchange, Revolut distinguishes itself from other traditional banking institutions that are also offering crypto trading services, solidifying its role as a trailblazer within the fintech industry’s adoption of cryptocurrencies.
