XBTO Creates Specialized Team for Tokenizing Real World Assets in Cryptocurrency Trading Sector

has established a specialized team for the tokenization of tangible assets such as real estate, further advancing its endeavors in blockchain-based sponsorships of corporate debt, a sector it has been actively developing.

Tokenization efforts have primarily captured the attention of major financial institutions like JPMorgan and investment powerhouses like BlackRock, largely exploring blockchain adaptations of U.S. Treasury securities.

The Bermuda-headquartered XBTO is engaging more directly with practical applications, having undertaken tokenization of mid-sized business debt. This has manifested in the tokenizing of corporate ‘senior e-notes’ for BermudAir, a specialized airline, in two separate instances. Additionally, hemp and CBD company AgroRef is anticipated to roll out its own e-note through XBoto in the near term.

Captained by Managing Director Mas Nakachi, XBTO’s newly formed tokenization crew is collaborating with the blockchain-driven financial infrastructure platform Obligate and utilizes the Credora platform for sophisticated technology-based credit ratings, an XBTO announcement revealed.

Chief Commercial Officer Javier Rodriguez Alarcon of XBTO noted the challenges facing medium and modestly scaled enterprises in securing traditional financial avenues, deterred by the high costs associated with engaging an investment bank. Alarcon highlighted the benefits of digitized securities issuance.

“Bringing down the expense barrier for private entities to issue securities can subsequently provide better yields for investors and form an attractive financial venture,” Alarcon remarked during a conversation. “Additionally, the process benefits from the prompt settlement and the inherent transparency found in crypto-based frameworks.”

Regulated in Bermuda, XBTO extends its tokenized offerings exclusively to verified investors, specifically those based outside of the United States.
