Cambodia Restricts Access to Sixteen Cryptocurrency Exchange Platforms

PHNOM PENH – In a move reflecting its ongoing efforts to supervise the burgeoning yet unauthorized cryptocurrency industry, Cambodia has recently restricted access to 16 digital currency trading platforms, among them prominent exchanges like Binance and Coinbase, while their mobile applications remain accessible.

Whilst battling international criticism over its image as a safe haven for cyber fraudulence, the Cambodian authorities’ endeavors to exert control over cryptocurrencies and supplementary digital amenities have scarcely influenced the inherently decentralized character of online currency trading, concurrently impeding the operation of recognized entities within the sector.
