Crypto exchange Binance is about to reinstate payments from the European Union’s Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), according to a Bloomberg report, citing a person familiar with the matter.
Payments through the network will resume “in the coming hours,” Bloomberg said.The rollout will be phased, starting in Belgium and Bulgaria, and will expand throughout the bloc in the following weeks. The U.K., which left the EU in January 2020, will not be included, according to the report.Binance temporarily halted payments from SEPA in July.SEPA allows consumers to make cashless payments in euros to anywhere in the EU as well as a number of non-EU countries.
