Federal examiners on Monday said they were in request exchanges with a New York lady as of late captured with her significant other on charges of attempting to wash $4.5 billion worth of taken bitcoin cryptocurrency.
The talks were refered to in a solicitation by investigators requesting that an adjudicator delay by 40 days Friday’s planned status hearing for the lady, Heather “Razzlekhan” Morgan, in U.S. Region Court in Washington, D.C.
Prosecutors said in a court documenting that the delay would “facilitate … plea discussions between the parties,” as well as give them an opportunity to collect and share proof that could be utilized against Morgan with her attorneys.
Morgan, 31, was captured with her better half, 34-year-old Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein, on Feb. 8 in their Manhattan loft. The captures were around the same time the Justice Department has said it held onto more than $3.6 billion worth of bitcoin that was essential for the supposed washing scheme.
