Trump To Speak At Bitcoin Conference Despite Assassination Attempt - Decrypt

Former President Donald Trump has confirmed his attendance at an upcoming Bitcoin conference in Nashville, just hours after surviving an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The Bitcoin Conference, a popular crypto event, is scheduled to take place in less than two weeks. While details are under wraps, BTC Inc. CEO David Bailey informed Decrypt that additional security measures are being arranged for the conference where Trump will be a key speaker.

The conference’s official Twitter account stated Sunday that they are looking forward to hosting Trump and ensuring a safe event with increased security measures.

Following the assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania, plans for his future campaign stops, including the Bitcoin conference, were questioned. With an expected attendance of around 20,000 participants this year, organizers are determined to execute a successful event.

Bailey reassured attendees via a tweet that Trump is excited to deliver a speech at the conference despite recent events.

Last year’s Bitcoin conference featured prominent figures like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Senator Cynthia Lummis, and Miami Mayor Francis Suarez. This year, Kennedy, Lummis, and other notable speakers are expected to make appearances.

Trump has shown support for the crypto community, accepting crypto donations and expressing his approval of Bitcoin miners. Other Republicans, like Blackburn, have followed suit by embracing crypto donations for their campaigns.
