Today’s Crypto Prices (March 27, 2025): Bitcoin Drops to $85k; SOL, XRP, ADA Decrease by 5%
The price of Bitcoin experienced a significant drop today, reaching as low as $85,900 before quickly bouncing back above $87,000 in later trading hours. This sudden downturn in Bitcoin’s price also had an impact on leading altcoins like SOL, XRP, and ADA, which saw a nearly 4% decline in the past 24 hours.
Despite positive news throughout the day, including GameStop’s announcement regarding Bitcoin in their treasury, Bitcoin’s price struggled to show any upward movement and faced resistance at $88,000.
Currently, Bitcoin is trading near $87,000 with a 24-hour trading volume of $25.58 billion. It dropped from a high of $88,210 to a low of $85,900, representing a 1.38% decrease for the day.
While Bitcoin’s momentum continues to falter, leading altcoins are also experiencing significant drops. Among the top 10 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, Dogecoin (DOGE) has decreased by 5.39%, and XRP, SOL, and ADA have fallen by nearly 5% in the past 24 hours. ETH also saw a decline below $2,000 before recovering close to its daily high.
In terms of gains, ZetaChain (ZETA) saw the highest increase at over 30%, while SAFE, BEAM, and TON surged by over 6% today. On the losing side, AI16Z dropped by 15%, followed by DEEP, SATS, and HYPE token, which saw a 13% decrease in the past 24 hours.
