The famed speculator suggests that while it’s common for newcomers to quickly amass considerable wealth through trading, it is just as common for them to rapidly deplete their earnings.

He observed that many budding crypto traders often see their accounts depleted before achieving notable success. Reflecting on his early days, Peter Brandt recounted obliterating three or four trading accounts in his first year alone. Established in trading since 1974, Peter Brandt admitted to only feeling moderately proficient by 1979. At that time, he had the advantage of an alternate income source to fall back on.

Brandt advises that traders should ideally invest three to five years learning the intricacies of market speculation. He believes this period of trial and error affords them the necessary wisdom and experience to thrive in trading.

He also warns traders against the temptation to earn vast amounts quickly, indicating that such a mindset often leads to predictable and unfavorable outcomes.

Ethereum’s Future at Stake, Suggests Peter Brandt

Beyond his advice for a cautious approach to crypto trading, Peter Brandt expresses his lack of confidence in Ethereum (ETH).

As an expert market analyst, Brandt questions Ethereum’s sustainability in the face of its stiff competition from Bitcoin (BTC), particularly concerning its high “gas fees,” which he believes could undermine its long-term adoption if unaddressed.

He recently disclosed short selling Ethereum given his forecast of a potential price decline to around $650. This prediction holds significant influence as Brandt is recognized for his market insights. Ethereum plummeting below $1,000 would mark a drastic fall, as the currency hasn’t touched that level since January 2021, with its current market price being $2,218.70.
