Facebook Owner Meta Files Trademark Applications for 'Meta Pay' Covering Crypto Services

Meta Platforms Inc., previously Facebook, has documented five brand name applications for “Meta Pay.” The filings cover a wide scope of cryptographic money administrations. The organization is renaming Facebook Pay to Meta Pay.

Meta Platforms Inc., previously Facebook, recorded five brand name applications for “Meta Pay” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) last week.

Trademark lawyer Josh Gerben tweeted making sense of Wednesday that, as he would see it, Meta’s applications show the organization is wanting to send off an installment stage called Meta Pay for clients to trade standard government issued currency for cryptocurrencies.

Meta’s head of fintech, Stephane Kasriel, made sense of last week that the organization is “investing more” in its current installments encounters, taking note of that it has been in installments since 2009.

“Today, people and businesses use our platforms to make payments in 160 countries and 55 currencies,” Kasriel composed, elaborating:
