Reports have surfaced indicating that a significant number of individuals may be residing in the distorted cyberspace of Mark Zuckerberg’s Metaverse without their knowledge.

“There’s a checkbox on your Facebook settings page,” explained Hattie Binlid, an IT expert. “It’s located near the bottom and mentions something like ‘I don’t want to live in the metaverse’. If you haven’t selected that option, a recent Facebook update might have transported you into the Metaverse while you were asleep.”

However, it appears that many people were not aware of this setting and have unwittingly found themselves in the Metaverse.

“It was quite bizarre initially,” shared Simon Williams, who unintentionally spent several days in the Metaverse. “When I woke up, everything appeared like a poorly drawn cartoon, my wife had no legs, and people’s mouths didn’t move when they spoke. Looking out the window, the fields had been transformed into large green slabs. Everyone kept urging me to attend meetings, which seemed to be the primary activity there.”

“Fortunately, my wife figured out the issue and had to access my Facebook account to unselect the option. It was absurd. I only use Facebook to view my daughter’s photos.”

There are demands for Facebook to enhance the visibility of the opt-out choice. It is estimated that there may be over a million individuals currently residing unknowingly in the Metaverse.

Hattie provided the following guidance, “I recommend anyone stuck in a place where everything seems dismal and endless meetings are the norm to review their Facebook settings and verify if they have opted out of the Metaverse.”
