Futureverse and Story join forces in groundbreaking Web3 technology partnership

Futureverse teams with Story in Web3 technology deal

Futureverse, an AI and metaverse technology company, has entered into a memorandum of understanding to pursue an intellectual property agreement with Web3 firm PIP Labs, the core contributor to Story.

This partnership will concentrate on integrating Futureverse’s technology and vast IP portfolio with The Root Network to Story. Story is a specialized Layer 1 blockchain aimed at tokenizing intellectual property into programmable digital assets, revolutionizing how creators and brands can register, manage, and monetize digital assets on-chain.

The Root Network is designed to ensure interoperability for IP assets across all platforms, increasing the value for owners and collectors.

Traditionally, intellectual property has been managed through fragmented, centralized systems that hinder the ability of IP holders and creators to fully control, license, and profit from their work. With the expansion of digital content, it is crucial to maintain transparent, enforceable, and interoperable IP ownership across various platforms. This partnership leverages blockchain technology to establish a decentralized, programmable framework for IP, fostering a more open and creator-centric digital economy.

Through this partnership, Futureverse and PIP Labs, the initial core contributor to Story, will collaborate to onboard, expand, and monetize Futureverse’s extensive IP portfolio within Story’s blockchain ecosystem.

Futureverse, via Readyverse Studios, holds exclusive licenses for major IPs like Ready Player One/Two. The partnership will also investigate the integration of Story-powered applications into Futureverse’s The Readyverse platform, improving interoperability across metaverse experiences, games, and applications. Additionally, they will work on integrating Futureverse’s Pass platform into the Story network to simplify onboarding millions of users with just a few clicks.

“On-chain IP signifies a transformative change in how digital assets are owned, monetized, traded, and developed,” said Jason Zhao, chief protocol officer of PIP Labs, Story’s initial core contributor. “By partnering with Futureverse, we are taking a significant step towards creating a more open and programmable ecosystem where creators and brands have enhanced control over their IP.”

Futureverse’s expertise in AI-driven metaverse technology is strengthened by its $54 million Series A funding, supported by key investors like Ripple and 10T Holdings. Ernest Cline, co-founder of Readyverse Studios and renowned author of the Ready Player One/Two series, which was adapted into a successful film directed by Steven Spielberg, adds to the strong foundation in both technology and storytelling that uniquely positions Futureverse to lead the evolution of IP in the digital era.
