Introducing Karta: The Metaverse studio transforming brands into interactive experiences

What sparked the creation of Karta?

During my time as Head of Events at Fnatic from 2016 to 2020, I organized real-life experiences for gamers at esports events worldwide. However, when the pandemic halted these activities, I explored leveraging video games as virtual marketing venues. A successful collaboration with Lavazza on a Italy/coffee-themed Fortnite map led me to realize the potential for brands to enter popular video games without exorbitant licensing fees. This realization inspired me to leave my job and establish Karta.

Since then, Karta has facilitated numerous brand activations across platforms like Roblox, Fortnite, and Zepeto. Today, we work with over 800 brands, employ 34 individuals, and continue to grow.

Karta is a Metaverse studio specializing in crafting brand experiences on Roblox, Fortnite, and Zepeto. We collaborate with top brands such as HUGO BOSS and Spotify, as well as celebrities like BLACKPINK and Nicki Minaj. Our motto, ‘We make brands playable,’ reflects our mission to transform clients’ identities and messages into engaging gaming experiences.

Karta’s foundation lies in anticipating the future impact of virtual worlds on various industries and seeking innovative solutions to navigate these changes.

Evolution of Karta

Founded in 2021, Karta initially operated as an agency before transitioning into a studio and producing successful projects like Sunsilk City on Roblox. We have expanded our team, developed in-house capabilities, and collaborated with global brands like TWICE to create engaging experiences on multiple gaming platforms.

Karta secured pre-seed funding from investors like Game Tech Ventures and is currently exploring new funding opportunities. The company’s main challenge lies in staying focused amidst abundant opportunities, which requires strategic decision-making and prioritization.
