Metaverse Bots Team Of Local Students Wins Fll Competition

FIRST Lego League (FLL) group the Metaverse Bots has had a profitable 2022 FLL season, beginning with a robust exhibiting on the qualifying match in Encinitas.

The group contains native college students Amber Del Mar Pines fourth grader), Allison (a fifth grader from Solana Ranch, Andy (a sixth grader from Bishops), Charlie (fifth grade, Solana Ranch), Selena (fifth grade, Solana Ranch), Sophia (fifth grade, Solana Ranch and Eric, a fourth grader from Solana Pacific.

“A big part of the competition is six important values of the robot competition called the core values,” stated Amber. “These are discovery, innovation, impact, inclusion, teamwork and fun. These core values have brought our team together and is the foundation of our success.”

Along with core values, the group can also be scored on classes comparable to their innovation challenge, core values, robotic recreation and robotic design. The Metaverse Bots’ innovation was a heating and cooling jacket designed by the scholars.

On the Encinitas qualifier, the group earned second place for the innovation challenge and third for the robotic recreation. Their excessive scores despatched them on to the regional competitors in Poway on Dec. 11, the place the group elevated their core worth rating and obtained first place, qualifying them for the SoCal championships at UC Riverside on Dec. 17, the place they positioned fifth in robotic design.
