Reality+ Joins The Oma3 Metaverse Consortium

London, UK, June 04, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Web3 entertainment specialist Reality+ has recently joined OMA3™ (Open Metaverse Alliance for Web3), a consortium of metaverse platform creators aimed at promoting best practices and standards in the sector.

Realityplus Oma3 Hero1

The OMA membership includes well-known names from various sectors such as Animoca Brands, Yuga Labs, The Sandbox Game, Upland, Unstoppable Domains, Alien Worlds, Superworld, Wivity, and My Neighbour Alice.

OMA3’s objective is to ensure high interoperability and transparency across virtual land, digital assets, ideas, and services between platforms and communities.

Reality+ (www.realityplus.com) assists global brands in transitioning to the new generation of the web through immersive experiences like games, the metaverse, and digital collectibles.

Its clients, including BBC Studios and iconic fashion brand Paul Frank, will benefit significantly from its involvement in OMA3 and the Portaling and Mapping Working Group (PMWG), which is instrumental in shaping standards for future metaverse project interoperability.

Portals are emerging as a transformative technology that will revolutionize how we interact with digital spaces, similar to how the HTTP standard facilitated linking information silos. Portals in the metaverse promise a new era of connectivity, accessibility, and productivity.

Reality+ currently utilizes the Hedera Network Services exclusively for all its projects due to the platform’s outstanding performance and functionality, and collaborates closely with The Sandbox to provide engaging Web3 experiences for fans.

Tony Pearce, CEO at Reality+, stated, “Our membership in OMA3 and participation in its Portaling and Mapping Working Group ensures that Reality+ remains at the forefront of Web3 content and technology, guaranteeing best-in-class metaverse experiences for our expanding client base and their fans. Our team is excited to actively engage in OMA3 initiatives and collaborate with other members to establish Web3 as the go-to destination for the future of entertainment.”

Robby Yung, CEO of Animoca Brands and Vice Chair of OMA3, mentioned, “The interoperability of content in Web3 is crucial for building the open metaverse, and achieving this goal is challenging but community-led, which is why we are delighted to welcome Reality+ as a new member and look forward to working together.”

Sébastien Borget, Co-Founder and COO of The Sandbox, emphasized, “Within the Open Metaverse, digital assets freely move across OMA3 virtual worlds, enjoying increased security and better asset tracking. With shared standards, users will be able to transfer digital items they own from one metaverse to another, creating a universe of interconnected virtual worlds that prioritize user experience and ownership over platform dominance and censorship.”
