SRT and TBWA\Singapore Launch Macbeth Experience on Roblox for Project Arts Metaverse

Singapore – The Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT) has teamed up with TBWA\Singapore to introduce a unique Macbeth experience on Roblox. This initiative is part of the National Arts Council’s (NAC) Project Arts Metaverse.

This virtual experience draws inspiration from SRT’s upcoming ‘Shakespeare in the Park – Macbeth’ production scheduled for 2025. Created by Metakey in collaboration with MeshMinds on Roblox, the immersive platform allows players to delve into the psyche of Macbeth. Through this sci-fi game, participants can engage with the dramatic moments of this classic tragedy.

The NAC’s Project Arts Metaverse is designed to cultivate innovative digital experiences that enhance audience engagement and promote the discovery of the arts.

In partnership with TBWA\Singapore, NAC and SRT aim to align their objectives with educational goals. The Macbeth experience on Roblox is intended to serve as a supplementary resource for educators, particularly in English literature. The goal is to nurture a deeper appreciation for Shakespeare’s works and support teachers in their endeavors.
