Starbucks Debuts Collectible Nfts In Metaverse Loyalty Program

Starbucks is transferring a digital extension of its Starbucks Rewards loyalty program out of pilot into full rollout.

Initially introduced in September 2022 and launched in beta mode in December 2022, Starbucks Odyssey provides Starbucks Rewards members and workers within the U.S. the chance to earn and buy digital collectible NFT property.

As soon as logged in, Starbucks Odyssey members can have interaction in Starbucks Odyssey “journeys,” a sequence of omnichannel actions, reminiscent of enjoying interactive video games or taking challenges. Members will probably be rewarded for finishing journeys with a digital collectible “journey stamp.”

Journey stamps are NFTs (non-fungible tokens). Starbucks Rewards members may buy “limited-edition stamps” (NFTs) by a built-in market inside the Starbucks Odyssey net app. On Thursday, March 9, 2023, Starbucks is formally releasing its first set of two,000 limited-edition stamps for Starbucks Odyssey members.  

In an e mail to Chain Retailer Age, Starbucks mentioned its first set of those one-of-a-kind NFTs are designed by workers and have layered items of art work celebrating the “Starbucks Siren” firm emblem. Every limited-edition stamp is constructed from 5 totally different layers of unique Starbucks artwork.
