UAE Commercial Bank International enters Decentraland metaverse

UAE Based Commercial Bank International (CBI) has sent off a virtual area in the Decentraland Metaverse. According to the public statement the Bank views itself as the first in UAE to do so.

Ali Sultan Rakkad Al Amri, CEO of CBI, said, “We are proud to be the first ever bank in the UAE and among the first innovative banks in the Middle East region to bring the Metaverse experience to our customers and people, which we believe is a strong testament to our strong support and belief in the country’s vision in being a leader in innovation worldwide.”

The Metaverse is based on trend setting innovations like expanded reality (AR), computer generated reality (VR) and blockchain. Decentraland is one of the notable metaverses rivaling any semblance of SandBox.

As per the news, CBI’s arranged send off in the Metaverse lines up with the UAE’s solid obligation to building a computerized economy that embraces the utilization of blockchain innovation, virtual resources, man-made reasoning, and blended reality advances in both a business climate and in regular customer services.

Earlier this year, VARA Dubai’s Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority likewise declared that it had opened its central command in the Sandbox metaverse.
