Buy Wu-Tang Clan’s Rare Once Upon a Time in Shaolin Album as NFT

Marking a decade since its private release, Wu-Tang’s Once Upon a Time in Shaolin is now available to the public thanks to digital art collective Pleasr. This highly expensive piece of music was recorded in secret over a span of six years and is now being sold for $1 on www.thealbum.com. The album has been digitized, encrypted, and comes with new artwork by Hassan Rahim. Each purchase will help bring the album closer to its original release date of October 8th, 2103, and will grant access to an exclusive album sampler by co-producer Cilvaringz.
In addition to being available for purchase as an NFT, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin is set to have its first public playback in Australia. According to Mxdwn.com, the album will be played at a listening event hosted by Australia’s Museum of Old and New Art as part of the Namedropping exhibition. The display will feature a 30-minute excerpt of the album, the physical record, and will be housed in a silver box.
