Cristiano Ronaldo teams up with Binance to launch exclusive NFT collection

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency trading platform by volume, has joined forces with global football icon Cristiano Ronaldo to unveil a new Non-Fungible Token (NFT) collection titled “Forever Worldwide: The Road to Saudi Arabia.” This partnership allows fans to collect pieces of Ronaldo’s legacy, with each NFT representing a significant location that has played a vital role in his remarkable career.

The collection presents fans with the chance to enjoy a variety of benefits, such as vintage football jerseys, match tickets, and an exclusive opportunity to meet Cristiano Ronaldo in person. The announcement showcases Ronaldo’s journey from his modest beginnings in Madeira to his current status as a worldwide football superstar, offering fans innovative experiences and exceptional real-life rewards.

The Forever Worldwide: The Road to Saudi Arabia NFT collection will be released in two major drops during the upcoming football season, finishing with an auction in June for a limited selection of super super rare (SSR) NFTs. The initial drop begins on May 29, featuring iconic locations like Madeira, Lisbon, and Manchester. Artwork by Portuguese artists Katt Phatt and Rodrigo Doin will represent Ronaldo’s early career stages, while Manchester’s John Sheehan will illustrate his rapid ascension in Manchester.

The second drop, launching on June 6, will showcase artworks depicting Madrid, Turin, and Saudi Arabia. This includes creations by Spanish artist Lisett Ledn highlighting Ronaldo’s success in Madrid, Pasquale Garibaldi’s portrayal of his time in Turin, and Saudi artist Shaker Kashgari’s depiction of his current chapter in Saudi Arabia.

Later in June, a special limited collection of seven super super rare NFTs, designed by local artist Mr. Dheo, will be available through an online auction from June 14 to 18. These NFTs honor Ronaldo’s unwavering dedication to Portugal. Die-hard fans who collect all NFTs in the Drop 4 collection will also have a chance to win one of the special SSR NFTs for free by participating in a quiz starting on June 11.

The collection is priced at USD $35 per NFT across all locations, except for the limited SSR NFTs. It introduces a ‘Collect to Earn’ feature that allows collectors to begin earning rewards from their initial purchase. Rewards include vintage jerseys, match tickets, signed posters, and the opportunity to submit questions to Cristiano Ronaldo – which he will answer in a specially created video for NFT holders.

Holders of the SSR Portugal NFTs will receive an exclusive experience with Cristiano Ronaldo, including a trip to Riyadh, a football game ticket, and a personalized goal celebration moment with Ronaldo. This unique experience will be accessible to top bidders in the June 14 auction, as well as collectors who have acquired all six other NFT locations and won the SSR Portugal NFT in the June 11 quiz.

The initial drop of the Forever Worldwide: The Road to Saudi Arabia NFT collection will be exclusively available on the Binance NFT Marketplace starting from May 29, 2024.
