Donald Trump’s NFTs expand onto the Bitcoin Network
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has expanded his NFT journey to the Bitcoin blockchain.
Donald Trump has taken advantage of the NFT hype to generate revenue and build a strong following. A team supported by Trump has released NFTs commemorating significant moments in his iconic life using Ethereum and Polygon blockchains.
Now, the team is venturing into Bitcoin, as per a recent announcement. Specifically, individuals who purchase the Trump Digital Trading Card Mugshot Edition will receive a one-of-one card minted on the Bitcoin network as an Ordinal.
Ordinals, which have gained popularity recently, are a method that enables users to inscribe data, artwork, and collectibles on the Bitcoin network. Although the structure of Ordinals differs slightly from NFTs, they essentially serve the same purpose by being inscribed immutably on the network.
To be eligible for Donald Trump’s latest Bitcoin NFTs, users must purchase 100 Trump Digital Trading Card Mugshot editions at $99 each. Over 101 collectors have already met the requirement, and the offer is only available to 200 individuals. Users can claim the Bitcoin Ordinals NFT on the popular NFT marketplace, Magic Eden.
