Before Token Launch, NFT Utility Platform Galaxis Raises $10M

Galaxis, an NFT utility platform helping brands and creators launch blockchain-based collectibles has completed a $10 million funding round from Chainlink, Ethereum Name Services (ENS), Taisu Ventures and Rarestone Capital, with ENS co-founder Nick Johnson also joining.
According to Galaxis, the fundraising also includes gains from a node sale of more than 11,000 ‘Galaxis Engines’.
The fundraising also comes ahead of this month’s planned token launch on Bybit. Galaxis plans to use the funds to expand the use of NFTs beyond digital art. The company also launched a $1 million Community Creator and Member Grant Program as it looks to boost engagement within the platform. One of the platform’s key features is its customisable membership cards that offer perks and access to experiences.
Incubated by CoinMarketCap, Galaxis allows creators and brands to create digital collectibles and reward mechanisms on the blockchain removing the need for third-party mechanisms. The grant program will allocate $500,000 each to creator and community member grants over the next 12 months.
The platform has previously worked with Mike Tyson, DJ Steve Aoki, actor Val Kilmer and the Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball.
Commenting on the announcement, Galaxis CEO and co-founder Andras Kristof said the platform’s native GALAXIS token will be used to supercharge the ecosystem.
Renowned or installing the first Bitcoin ATM in Singapore, Kristof said is post-hype NFT utility platform is built in the belief that the use of NFT technology will go beyond the hype and boost the mass adoption of Web3 in all industries.
