On the strike of the gavel at Sotheby’s Grails: Half II auction, Dmitri Cherniak’s Ringers #879, also called “The Goose” bought for US$5.4 million (US$6.2 million with charges included), the second highest-priced value ever achieved for generative artwork. The report is held by one other NFT from The Ringers assortment, #109, which bought for US$7.1 million in 2021.
