Debut of Irish ‘Metaverse Talk Show’ Scheduled for American TV Audience
Kerry company Xavatar has reached an agreement to make its CGI-animated metaverse talk show, The Xavatar Show, available to approximately 60 million US households through Ovation TV and UPtv.
The show is touting itself as the first CGI-animated show to be aired from the metaverse. Viewers will have the opportunity to explore the locations that the guests discuss during the show.
The hosts of the show are actor Colin O’Donoghue, indie film producer Rose Ganguzza, and Xavatar show creator Jason P. Rothberg. Musician and songwriter Paddy Casey is serving as the musical director.
Xavatar is headquartered at the RDI Hub in Killorglin, Co. Kerry.
Colin O’Donoghue stated, “I believe The Xavatar Show could open the door to a whole new world of immersive entertainment that allows viewers to engage with the show in a new way, exploring celebrity-driven environments and interacting with their favorite artists in an immersive manner.”
Xavatar CEO Jason Rothberg added, “The Xavatar Show is positioned to lead the way in the new digital frontier of immersive media, enabling viewers to expand their horizons within the Xataverse by attending the show as their Xavatar selves on the Xavatar space station. These are truly exciting times for individuals, like us, who deeply care about the connection between music and film and how each medium progresses in a world with an increasingly digital footprint.”
