Kumi Koda celebrates 25 years with release of best-of album ‘LIVE IN METAVERSE ~THE BEST~’

Celebrating 25 years in the industry, Japanese pop icon Kumi Koda has released a special best-of album, LIVE IN METAVERSE ~THE BEST~, today, March 26. Unlike a conventional compilation, this collection is designed as a “future best-of concert,” set in the year 2093. Listeners can immerse themselves in the live atmosphere, complete with the energy of a cheering audience.

The album features 28 songs chosen by fan club members, including the full version of the new track UNICORN and the first CD release of BLACK WINGS. The limited edition, available exclusively through mu-mo shop and for fan club members, also includes Driving Hit’s 10, the latest entry in Koda’s popular remix series. The DVD and Blu-ray editions showcase live performances of tracks featured on the album, making for an extensive concert experience.

Koda has also announced her 25th ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2025 De-CODE, with arena concerts scheduled in Tokyo and Osaka:

Advance ticket applications close on March 26 at 23:59 JST. Additional performances and updates are expected throughout the anniversary year.

In addition to her tour, Koda will appear at major events, including the F1 Tokyo Fan Festival (April 5), Beijing Super Strawberry Music Festival (May 4), and CHAGU CHAGU Rock Festival (June 7).
