‘Metaverse’s ‘Qatar Adventure’ Gets Exciting Updates’

Q Life, a cultural platform under Qatar’s International Media Office (IMO), has announced that the “Qatar Adventure” experience is coming back to Roblox for its second phase on 29 November in partnership with developer Century Games.

“Qatar Adventure” is a virtual world within the metaverse that showcases authentic Qatari cultural activities and some of the country’s most famous landmarks.

This announcement comes after the successful first phase of “Qatar Adventure”, which attracted over 7 million visits within an eight-week period, making it one of the fastest-growing nation-branded Roblox activations.

The experience, aiming to enhance cultural exchange and promote understanding between Qatar and the global community, will be available for free through Livetopia on Roblox from 29 November 2024 to 28 February 2025.

“Qatar Adventure” will feature traditional Qatari attire like the thobe, bisht, gutra, and abaya, as well as activities such as falconry and pearl diving.

In addition to revisiting landmarks from the previous edition, such as the Lusail Stadium and Katara Towers, the Phase 2 expansion will introduce new locations like Hamad International Airport, the Lusail International Circuit, and a Qatari Dream Home. The Meryal Waterpark will also be added in an update on 8 January.

Users will now have the opportunity to engage in a tycoon game mechanic, allowing them to construct their own Qatari Dream Home, an airport terminal, a World Cup stadium locker room, and more.

Furthermore, users can partake in five mini-games: Lusail International Circuit Racing Game, Lusail Stadium Penalty Kick Game, Pearl Diving Mini Game, Luggage Rush Simulator, and the Secret Majlis Game. In January, two additional games, the Water Jetpack Obby and the Water Slide Punch Card, will be introduced.

Q Life is also launching Roblox’s first permanent storefront featuring authentic digital Middle Eastern goods, designed after Doha’s Souq Waqif. (QNA)
