An esports metaverse startup cofounded by cricketer Kumar Sangakkara simply raised $3.2 million in Seed funding

Cricketing Corridor of Fame batsman Kumar Sangakkara has cofounded an esports platform that’s raised US$2.5 million (A$3.2m) in Seed funding to play sport within the metaverse.

The spherical was led by new Singapore-based funding agency Hangar X, plus a number of sports activities and web3 buyers, together with US-based Nucleus Advisors founder Jordan Waxman,  Perth-based 5point8 Capital director Mark D’Alessandro and former Tiger World companion Jason Leng.

The funds are allotted in the direction of the launch of extra video games globally by the metaverse startup.

Behaviol is a Sydney-based startup, launched this 12 months, which permits gamers to purchase and prepare digital sports activities stars. Its first recreation, Meta 11, is a synthetic intelligence-based digital cricket recreation with the gamers will have the ability to purchase, nurture and enhance their crew of stars.
