Will Meta ruin the metaverse before it even exists?

Half a year has passed since Mark Zuckerberg distributed an open letter declaring his vision for the metaverse and the rebranding of Facebook to Meta.
Although he arranged an appealing picture – “in the metaverse, you’ll be able to do almost anything you can imagine,” we were told – the letter left a lot of space for understanding, igniting banter over what structure this new virtual world could take.
Some have contended the metaverse as of now exists (in its constituent parts), while others say the vital rules will not be met for a long time. However, comprehensively, it’s perceived that the metaverse will comprise of a progression of interlinked spaces that span the physical and computerized universes, because of the combination of conventional and expanded reality (XR) platforms.
