Coinbase Policy Chief Urges US to Revamp Crypto Regulation

Coinbase (COIN) will be the custodian for several spot bitcoin ETFs approved by the US Securities and Exchange Commission last week.
Coinbase Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad discusses the approval with Yahoo Finance’s Julie Hyman and Brian Sozzi at the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
Shirzad believes the approval will attract new investors and acknowledges that the SEC has given its approval to an important crypto product. He also notes that “virtually every G20 economy” has adopted or is in the process of adopting cryptocurrency regulations, making the US less relevant in regulatory discussions.
